Hummingbirds is an independent Nature-based Solutions (NbS) project developer founded in 2022. We aim at filling a gap in the booming ecosystem of the voluntary carbon market to build bridges between large corporate finance resources and experienced field project developers through capacity building and carbon finance mainly on greenfield projects. To tackle the climate and biodiversity loss crisis, conservation of last chance ecosystem is key and fosters a lot of our attention. We also look closely at forestry restoration projects, sustainable forestry and agriculture, blue carbon, wetlands/peatlands and improved cooking solutions to reduce the pressure on forests. Our main activities are: – Sourcing, developing and financing new NbS projects – Capacity building and assistance to local project developers hummingbirds has ambitious goals for 2024 and is looking for a dynamic and autonomous profile, passionate about nature with strong ethics to deliver climate positive projects in developing countries with high co-benefits for local communities and biodiversity. Our team of 16 enthusiastic and dedicated collaborators is located half in Paris and half abroad (Abidjan, Nairobi, Mexico, São Paulo, Singapore, Madrid).
