The RTG 2300 cordially invites to its next mini conference as part of its guest lecture series: „Linking biodiversity, functions, and climate: Insights from global ecosystems“ It will take place on Monday, December 1 starting at 11 am in F 01
The invited talks are:
* Dr. Susanne Brandl (LWF Bayern): “Modelling tree mortality in dependence on climate and mixture based on large-scale forest inventory data” * Asst. Prof. Dr. Monique Weemstra (Wageningen University): „What Lies Beneath Remains Obscure: Unclear Links Between Root Traits and Tree Performance” * Dr. Carolina Voigt (University of Hamburg): “Biogeochemical and microbial controls underlying the spatial and temporal variability of methane uptake by Arctic soils“ * Romaan Hayat Khattak, PhD (The Snow Leopard Foundation): „Ecological Drivers of Habitat Preference in the Endangered Indian Pangolin (Manis crassicaudata) within Ravine Habitats of the Himalayan Foothills, Pakistan” * In addition, Prof. Dr. Niko Balkenhol will talk about “Introduction to EnriCo: Enrichment of European beech forests with conifers – and what small mammals have to do with that”
